Hintze Hall Cloakroom for Natural History Museum
Baker Mallett was appointed to provide cost consultancy and CDM-C services for alterations and adaptation of the existing Member’s Room, to provide a new cloakroom facility in the Hintze Hall at the Natural History Museum.
The project comprised the installation of a high speed automated coat storage system. The project was procured using JCT Intermediate Form of Building Contract 2011 and completed during Spring 2015.
The project was particularly challenging due to its close proximity to the main Hintze Hall and the coordination with public events being held within the hall. The diversion of major mains services was also required which had the potential to cause the whole Waterhouse Building to close.
