Cardigan Castle shortlisted for 3 RICS Wales Awards

Baker Mallett are pleased to announce that their prestigious project, the restoration of Cardigan Castle, has recently won a RASW Architecture Award 2016.

Our Cardigan Castle £11 million restoration project has been shortlisted for 3 RICS Wales Awards in the categories of Building Conservation, Community Benefit & Tourism & Leisure. 

Baker Mallet were appointed as Project Manager to deliver educational facilities, holiday accommodation,  a restaurant and visitor attraction space at Cardigan Castle, a scheduled Ancient Monument. The scheme also included restoration of the castle walls and a multi stakeholder interface with funding secured from the HLF, CAT, WEFO, CADW and ERDF.

The RICS Awards showcase the achievements of the most inspirational regional initiatives and developments in land, property, construction and the environment.

The regional award ceremony takes place on 19 May 2016 at The Vale Resort, Cardiff. Congratulations to everyone who made the shortlist, we look forward to seeing everyone at the event in May!
