Social Value
Making things better where we can, wherever we can.
Our Social Value Agenda can be headlined under three main categories and puts our Clients, our Staff and the Local Communities in which we work at the heart of everything we do. These categories are:
- Wellbeing – The health and wellbeing of our staff, clients and communities in which we work is of great importance to our company. Promoting physical activity, supporting the mental health agenda and helping vulnerable people are our main focus in this category.
- Caring for the Environment – As an ISO:14001 accredited company, Baker Mallett is governed by policies and procedures that promote sustainability and accountability throughout our business operations. We are not perfect but we take our responsibilities seriously and are committed to continuous improvement.
- Supporting Key Client Initiatives - This stems from our belief that by working together, we can achieve more. We are keen to support our Clients on the issues that matter most to them and have engaged in several activities to help our Clients address issues that are close to their heart. This not only helps us build relationships with our Clients and their Stakeholders, but helps forge strong collaborative working relationships.

Baker Mallett Engage With Local Engineering Students
CSR plays a huge part in what we do here at Baker Mallett and we are always look at ways we can give something back to the local community. A number of our projects have included us engaging with students within the local area, supporting them in their aspirations, and passing on valuable knowledge when looking to make that move into the construction industry.
With our Head Office being in Warrington we were delighted when students from Warrington and Vale Royal College were welcomed to the Bewsey & Dallam Community Hub project, a scheme of which we have provided Project Management, Quantity Surveying and CDM services via Fusion21.Our Managing Partner Geoff Woods was on hand to give a presentation, providing the students with an insight into his role and responsibilities. A very insightful presentation was given from the delivery team of the project with fly through CGI’s whilst discussing build, materials and programme.
For many of the students this was their first time on a live site and gave them a sneak preview of how such sites are managed and run throughout the construction phase. The visit also demonstrated the many career opportunities that the construction industry offers and we look forward to further engaging with the local students again once the project reaches its completion.
