Co-op Logistics Essential Building Improvement Programme

Baker Mallett were appointed as Quantity Surveyor and Pre Contract Manager to develop an investment cost model which would indicate the level of investment required by the business over a five year period to bring the logistics property portfolio buildings to business acceptable level in relation to compliance, H&S and business and operational functional requirements.

The project involved procuring condition surveys to understand the full conditionality of the logistics estate. From the condition surveys provided we developed an investment cost model plan which identified the business hierarchy of requirements for building, starting with legal compliance, H&S, business continuity and operational requirements. This informed the business of how they could strategically optimise the level of investment for each of the above mentioned workstreams and enabled them to forward forecast budgets to complete the overall programme of works.
