New Residential Scheme for Broadacres Housing Association
The scheme comprised of twenty properties with ten, two bed homes and ten semi-detached affordable homes. The design of the properties was to Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3, together with associated estate road and off street parking, drainage, landscaping, fencing and screen walling.
The scheme was built on a difficult site which meant that the levels had to be raised by up to 1m and the foundations were piled with 15-20m piles. The scheme also needed a pumped foul water sewerage system together with surface water drainage having its own SUDS system with an open overflow basin and hydro-brake to restrict the flow of surface water from the site.
