Senior Quantity Surveyor (Sheffield)

This is an exciting opportunity for a intermediate or Senior Quantity Surveyor to work from our Sheffield City Centre Office. Offering a competitive remuneration package and opportunities to grow with the company, we would be delighted to hear from you.

The successful candidate will need to have a Minimum 5yrs PQE experience and qualified with a BSc (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or be MRICS and be able to demonstrate extensive experience in preparing estimates, tender and contract documentation in the commercial sector.

You will be a driven individual keen to lead from the front who enjoys taking your own initiative to make decisions, manage project commercial teams and support and mentor colleagues. We pride ourselves on providing a premium service to clients so you should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as you will be responsible for maintaining durable existing relationships as well as secure new business.

•  To be conversant in general aspects of quantity surveying
• Experience of pre and post contract construction

• Excellent interpersonal skills – an ability to communicate effectively both internally and with Clients
• Good I.T. skills

• Self Motivation and desire to succeed
• An ability to work unsupervised when necessary

Key Responsibilities

Tasks to include:

• Working within a team and providing a range of quantity surveying duties from project inception to completion
• Preparation of cost plans/estimates/bills of quantities/tender documents
• Provision of post contract quantity surveying services
• Preparation of data and reports to timescales and in a format required by line management/client
• Working collaboratively with other service teams to provide an integrated approach to client delivery
• Assisting in the mentoring of junior staff
